Commercial solar panels installers

Solar panels have never made such financial sense.

You may think that solar panels are specifically a domestic technology, but not so say government officials as they predict by 2020 there will be an estimated 13,000 solar panel installations and 110,000 installations in the commercial and public sector, supplying 25% of the heat needed in these sectors while creating 150,000 jobs.

Solar heating panels

Commercial solar heating panels gather radiated energy from the sun and convert it to useful heat in a heat store reservour or standard hot water tank. Solar heating systems have been available in the UK since the 1970’s but the technology has improved over the last few years. Solar heating typically works alongside a conventional water heater like a boiler to provide hot water in small and large business enviroments.

PV solar panels

As Commercial solar panels installers, we can guide you through the process from conception to installation of pv solar panels which use photo cells to convert the solar radiation which hits your roof into electricity. The photovoltaic cell consists of two layers of a semi conducting material, usually silicon. When photons hit the cell, it creates an electric field, causing electricity to flow and channeled. The greater the intensity of light, the more the flow of electricity. The power generated can be used within your premises or expoerted and sold to benefit from the feed in tariffs.

Evacuated solar tubes

Commercial and large-scale evacuated tubes also commonly known as solar tubes arrays and are the most efficient type of solar heating technology in the UK. These domestic systems for heating water can be adapted to serve commercial needs. An example of this are hospitals with a high demand for hot water and so have adopted the technology to save on costs. This type of solar technology works all year round contributing up to 65% of your business hot water needs.

Feed in tariffs for micro-generation systems

The Feed In Tariffs or FITs scheme as it's also known, guarantees a minimum guaranteed payment for all the electric generated by your solar panels, including a separate payment for the excess power you export to the National Grid. These payments are in addition to the energy bill savings you will make by using the electricity generated on your own site.

Once you have micro generation systems installed, you should experience a size-able reduction in your electricity expense and then receive an additional income from the feed in tariff scheme. However, if you have taken out a loan to pay for the installation, you can make monthly payments to your loan company.

The feed in tariff is designed to reward pioneers of green energy technologies, so that the average monthly income from your solar installation will be significantly greater than your monthly loan repayment. The scheme is for these electric generating micro generation systems, up to an installation size of 5 Mega Watts:

Renewble Heat Incentive for micro-generation

The RHI scheme aims to support all levels of renewable heat generation including commercial projects open to anyone, including households, landlords, businesses, farmers, schools and hospitals. The scheme will give you a guaranteed feed in tariff style payment which will help towards the investment cost of your prefered micro generation technology.

Examples of renewable heat systems covered by the scheme are:

  • Solar thermal heat and hot water
  • Biomethane injection and biomas combustion, except landfill gas
  • Biomass heat generation and CHP
  • Ground source heat pumps
  • Water source heat pumps
