Normally disruption is kept to a minimum, but usually 2/4 days, depending on what work is required to update your system.

What area of roof space is required?

Most UK homes have enough roof space for this type of solar technology.

Will this type of installation require any on going maintenance?

Solar heating panels do require a service every 3 years to check system pressure and PH levels of the solar fluid. This can easily arranged with us so you won’t have to worry about remembering.

How long will this type of system last?

A good quality and well serviced system can easily last 30years.

What government assistance is available?

Government incentives include a 5% VAT rate with a £400 grant to all homeowners in England and Wales.

How do the PV panels produce electricity?

The science bit is that photons from the sun are converted to electrons within the PV solar cell and are channeled to produce an electric current.

How many PV solar panels will I require?

The minimum amount of panels to create a 1KW system is 6 collectors. We can tailor a system for you. Our solar consultants can discuss this with you during a home survey/inspection.

What space is required inside my home?

Very little. We have never been restricted by space inside ahome.

What area of roof space is required?

Our basic 1KW system requires 2.6 x 3.0 metres. Larger systems are available.

Will this type of system require any on going maintenance?

No. This is a fit and forget technology.

How long will this type of system last?

A good system can be expected perform well for 30+ years. We also know of PV solar panels installed in the 1960s which are still working fine.

What government assistance is available?
