We had solar panels installed

"At the outset one is always skeptical about the integrity of the supplier and published benefits of solar panels. However we are now convinced that the information given on savings and the benefits are accurate. We are now also able to contribute to a sustainable environment as well as having the satisfaction of long terms savings.

The professionalism of the presentation, installation service and follow up were excellent. We are able to utilise the benefits of solar panels supplying the hot water with minimal input from the mains power and this has been verified by our latest bill.

The photovoltaic panels were installed in mid August and we are already seeing the number of credit units rising daily, and this will certainly reduce our electricity costs long term and provide an income from the feed-in tariff scheme.

We are more than happy that we chose your company as our supplier and will certainly recommend you to interested parties."
D James, Hampshire

"The morning of the installation I was just brewing my second cup of coffee and settling down to read the paper when the solar panel installers arrived 75 minutes AHEAD of schedule!"

He said he wanted to get an early start to crack on with the job.
We discussed a couple of items, such as cabling routing and the electrician arrived as well. We agreed on positioning of the converter box in the loft. All I had to do was move a few boxes of stored stuff.

The whole job was completed in 5 hours, including cleaning up.
I can't comment too highly about the efficiency and high quality of the whole installation process.

They explained the operation of the equipment and went about everything in a thoroughly professional manner, and they only drank 2 cups of tea/coffee each!"

Job well done!!
Tim, Northampton

"I am writing to commend to you the team that carried out the installation and your staff who handled the paperwork.

We have had the solar panels for nearly two months now and have found them to be exactly as described on the time¯. The equipment is working superbly and the indictors that you have installed show exactly what we are producing every day. It's nice to think we are now adding to the system instead of taking away.

Thanks for your great service and support."
John, Cirencester

"One advantage of installing the system is that it has made us much more conscious of electricity usage and hence has reduced our overall consumption significantly, the owner reports. Looking at the price difference between cost and selling, I am expecting very low bills for this year."
Mr Benson, Oxfordshire

"We are now self sufficient in electricity, which was our target. We have been monitoring our meter and our record so far is 16.5 units in one day. Very promising!"
Mrs Taylor, Warwickshire

"I was surprised by how easy the installation process was. It was smooth, easy and hassle free. My thanks, a highly professional job on both occasions."
Mr Jones, Shropshire

"Three weeks ago we became a micro power station.

We installed a 2kW generator on our south facing roof. This was the last piece in the puzzle to make our home environmentally friendly as possible. Over the years we have done the basics including solar water heating and now photovoltaic. Our motivation was originally to do our bit, but after confirming the financial incentives for installing pv you really cannot go wrong.

In the last three weeks we have generated 200kW of electricity and benefited by £100 by selling our surplus back to the grid while using some ourselves, and this is just the beginning.

We certainly will recommend solar to all those who wish to become like us a Micro Power Station¯."
Mr and Mrs Dee, Dorset

"After receiving silly quotes of up to £9000 from other solar companies, I chose Heat my Home and have been very impressed by their service and product for a fraction of the price."
Mr Rowley, Kettering

"Just a note to say how very impressed we were with the hard work and enthusiasm of your installer, this guy really cares. The system appears to be functioning well, indeed better than I expected for January"
Mr Huxtable, Bournemouth

"The system you installed is very efficient as we are only having to top up our system with the gas heater for about an hour a day, even though the weather has been very wet to date"
Mr Greenough, Dorset

"Polite and prompt responses to queries, Fitted by courteous and experienced tradesmen. Very pleased with performance of product"
Mr Barney, Yorkshire

"We would like to tell you how pleased we are with the installation of your solar panels which was carried out for us last week.

We found your installation team arrived on time, polite and tidy and was able to adjust the plan when it was necessary. At the end of the installation all the packaging and materials were removed. We found the whole procedure to be simple and fuss free.

We have found the panels are operational from about 8.30am till 4.30pm and have produced a maximum of 1.1 kw, bearing in mind the panels were installed at the end of November, so we are pleased they are working better than expected.

We look forward to seeing them in full production in the summer months.

We are pleased that we invested in solar panels instead of a new car, thanks."
Mr and Mrs Rose, Hertfordshire

"The people were courteous and I found their knowledge appropriate. My delivery was punctual, overall good service"
Mr Shah, London

"Thank you for your e-mail and your quick response. I have to say that your installers are first class workmen and I cannot fault their work in any way"
Mr Driver, Yorkshire

"This is a quick, short note to sum up how we feel the installation of our new pv solar panels went.

Throughout you have all been professional, understanding, prompt, responsive and diligent. We will willingly and happily recommend your company to friend and contacts in the future.

BEST OF ALL THOUGH IS THE JOY WE GET SEEING THE WHEEL ON OUR MAINS ELECTRICITY METER GOING BACKWARDS!!!! iT REALLY MAKES THE WHOLE SCHEME WORTHWHILE."
Mr Howard, Norfolk

"While the sun is overhead and/or facing the panels generate very much more electricity than you can usually use at that moment. Being grid-connected, the excess electricity is exported (currently at 28p per kw h) and then available for my neighbors to use. If we had a battery-tied system you could store the excess up to a point, however the system wouldn't be hassle-free as batteries have a much shorter life span, you also wouldn't be able to benefit from the premium paid for exported renewable energy.

My wife and I had a 2.7kWp solar PV system installed on our west-south-west pitched roof in June last year, it cost £12000 on top of the grant. 12 months later it has generated 1949 units(kw h); this is around 72% of our total electricity consumption (2700 kw h).

Over the year we have exported 1017 kw h which is approx. 52% of what we generated (my wife is at home most of the day so there's usually a 300W of Sky + plasma TV running!), and in return this has paid out approximately £284 as well as a saving of 932 kw h of electricity that we didn't need to import from the grid; if we say 14p including VAT then it's a further saving of aprox. £130. This is realized as £414 off our electricity bill and at the same time we've reduced our CO2 footprint by 1.5 tonnes. The panels performance is guaranteed for 25 years, their useful life span is anticipated to be 40 years."
